It's been more than a month now that the STATE POISON Japan tour ended. I guess we needed all this time to take rest and get back to our everyday lives, with work, taxes, laundries, visit to the hospital and stuffs like that...
Anyway, this tour was an amazing experience. I feel everything went very well for the band and i also feel new friendships began all over Japan.
We'd like to thank everyone who has been involved in this tour. All the bands that played, but also people who organized shows, cooked food, gave a place to sleep, did some flyers and all the unknown people who came to the shows !
But this tour would have not been possible with the help of So/Hardcore Survives, Shin/Punk And Destroy, Hidetoshi/Crude, Yu/Skizophrenia, Hiroshi/D-Clone, Yutaka/Shyboy, Tomo/Beerwulf, Ikawa/Circle Flex...and so many others ! We'll never forget and we can't wait to do things together again ! Thanks a million times everyone !!!
As the band toured by Shinkansen, it was impossible for us to follow them. We could only see them for the shows we organized in Fukuoka and Kokura. In my opinion, the show in Fukuoka was the best. Many bands played that night, all friends, and many people showed up. It was the first time for us to organized a show with our good friend Yutaka in this new venue, but everything was fine !
STATE POISON did an amazing show that night, as well as all the local bands. But AI show was probably the best ! Totally out of control, with noise, sweat, sing a long and fist in the air.
We finished the night at Yutaka's place, eating kick ass curry-rice ! Yutaka is the best !
The show in Kokura was not bad, but not a lot of people showed up. It seems the same night there was a big event in town with an ex-HI STANDARD dude. And it seems most of people decided to go to this event instead of our small DIY punk hardcore show. Well...no comment. But we had fun. The bands were good, as usual, the place was nice too and we could spend lot of time talking and laughing together.
What was probably the best part of this tour for us, was the few days we could spent with them during the days off. Barbecue on the beach, picnic in the park of Kokura's castle, cooking together, long night talking and listening to some obscure japanese hardcore flexis that befa bought. That kind of stuffs friends do...
We really had a great time together and that was really heartbreaking when we had to bring them back to the station. They had to finish the tour and we had to go back to work. Fuck !
Oh and i almost forgot. We took a last minute airplane to see the final show in Tokyo. That was a nightmare for me, my back was hurting me so much i felt i was going to die, but it was cool to see our friends one more time. We could also meet a lot of great people and spend a wonderful night.
No particular memories of the shows. There were so many bands and only few of them got my interest. REALITY CRISIS was not bad. I liked it but was not blown away. LIFE was probably the best one in my opinion. The biggest disapointment was probably CROW. I wanted to see them so much !! But that day the singer was already drunk at 5:00 in the afternoon, and he totally ruined the show. The vocals were terrible, he was walking on the cables of both guitar and bass, so you ended up not hearing all the instruments half of the show. That's sad because all members were realy good and into the show. Well...
I will just keep in mind the good people we met at that show and the fact that we enjoyed one more night with our friends. And also that ridiculously drunk dude who suddenly took a knife in the middle of the crowd and started to cut himself everywhere. He finished the job with a cross on his forhead. Sweet...
